There were a ton of great artists and craftspeople at the No Coast Craft O Rama over the weekend. It was great to see how many people turned out to support the local arts and get some Christmas shopping done. The best surprise find at the fair were these enamel jewelry from OrangePeelEnamel, a local St. Paul artist. I loved the fused glass designs portraying the classic Eames Plywood chair and Bertoia’s Diamond Wire chair. Her process comes from fusing powder to glass or metal and it can be a sometimes painstakingly unpredictable process, but hey, that is half the fun with creating art sometimes…you never know what you are going to get.
