Restoration Hardware’s Spartan Bed 

Now that the sky is shining, temps are getting warmer and trees are starting to bloom, thoughts turn to going out for walks around the lakes, baseball games at the new Twins Stadium and relaxing in your backyard.  Retailers have come up with a strong collection of outdoor furniture this year to enjoy the Minnesota summers.  Here is a sampling of some of the most beautiful after the jump.

Restoration Hardware’sKlismos Collection

Restoration Hardware’s outdoor collection has a strong lineup of classic contemporary to elegant pieces.  One of my personal favorites is the Spartan Daybed that is the first picture of the post.  I also love the Klismos collection pictured above that gains influence from Greek design. 

Pottery Barn also carries some classic handwoven, all-weather wicker pieces.  My favorite was the Corsica collection (pictured above). 

Room and Board is always a good stop for contemporary furniture that is comfortable.  This year they have the Laguna collection, which is both mold/mildew resistant and fade resistant.

The Emmet collection  found at Room and Board is manufactured by Duluth company, Loll Designs.  These comfortable adirondack-style chairs and love seat are made from 100% post-industrial and post consumer plastic.   

These Illuminated Planters from Design Within Reach are a great way to brighten up a backyard or line a driveway.  Lighting design is so important for the interior, but these planters add a nice touch to the exterior.

Crate and Barrel also has a fresh collection called Atrium.  These collection features both lounge and dining pieces that are made of rustproof powder-coated aluminium.
