Mother’s day is this weekend, and I know there are plenty out there who are still searching for some gift ideas. I am dedicating this post to some gift ideas for the last minute shoppers.
Patina is always a great place to start. There are locations across the metro and the store is chalk full of doodads and trinkets to make any mom happy. Here are some of my favorites:
A Great way to spend time with mom is to pack a picnic and take her to one of the local lakes with this Apple Green Picnic Tote: $42.00
I’ve always love learning stories that my mom has to tell me. Why not record the memories in a special book? This Interview with My Mom book is only $9.95 and it is something you will love looking through. Maybe you will even get mom to divulge something about her crazy college days!
There are also a bunch of places you could take mom out to celebrate the day.
-At the State Fairgrounds, the annual Friend’s School Plant Sale is going on, selling a over 2,000 varieties of plants and flowers.
-If you want to splurge, you could take her to go see Tony Bennett at Mystic Lake Casino. The concert starts at 7 pm and tickets are on sale from $65-76 dollars.
-Some lower priced alternatives are to take a walk around the lakes, go to some of the art museums, the Farmer’s Market.
