Small space owners, listen up! Former Twin Cities resident, Janet Lee, has a blog called, Living in a Nutshell and recently released a book from Harper Collins by the same name. The book focuses on Lee’s ideas on how to make a space-challenged room and turn it into a fun, organized area. Lee currently resides in New York, so she knows a thing or two about decorating for small spaces! Lee is going to be in town for a cocktail hour with a live craft demonstration this Thursday, July 12th from 5-7pm at Corazon Books in Minneapolis (4646 East Lake Street). Read on to see more photos from the book and hear about Lee’s experiences while living in the Twin Cities.
Not long ago, Lee called the Twin Cities her home and lived in a small apartment in Minneapolis’ Linden Hills neighborhood while she worked as a TV producer for KSTP-TV’s Good Company talk show. (Who else loved hosts Steve & Sharon?) As soon as she first landed in Minnesota, she went straight to the State Fair to help film a live episode of the TV show and taste her first cheese curds.
During her 7 months living in Minnesota, Lee has fond memories of biking around Lake Harriet, eating Sebastian Joe’s ice cream and dining at Micky’s Diner and the old Zumbro Cafe. Because of all the great friendships she created here, Thursday’s visit will hold special meaning to Lee.
Come to Corazon Books on Thursday, meet Lee and enjoy cocktails while creating your own craft straight from Lee’s book. Please RSVP at Eventbrite.
