Bold is the name of the game when it comes to Finnish fashion & textile design company, Marimekko. Minneapolis’ FinnStyle is hosting a Fall/Winter Fashion Preview Event on Thursday, June 3rd from 5-7. Over 30 pieces will be available to try on and pre-order. There will also be some models showing off the latest styles.

Because there are always tons of things to do in the Twin Cities, June 3rd also is the date to save if you want to go to Gabberts and attend a talk by internationally known designer, Thomas O’ Brian. You may know him from his classic furniture line for Hickory Chair, or from the label on your fuzzy bath towels from Target. From 6:30-7:30 O’ Brian will be talking about his inspiration for his classic style. Stick around after his talk and you can pick up his latest book, American Modern and get it signed by O’ Brian himself.
