Road Trip to Madison!

I have been a little MIA from this site lately, but with good reason.  I just returned from a road trip to Madison!  Although the Twin Cities has a fantastic design scene, I had to bring back a few show and tell pictures of some of my favorite furniture pieces I ran across.  Read on after the jump to see more of the great places I found in Mad-town.

The Wisconsin Union Terrace chairs in the picture above were by far my favorite chair I came across!  I love the summery blue, yellow and orange combination.  You may purchase the chairs or lots of chair paraphernalia from the Wisconsin Union Terrace website. These chairs were fantastic to sit upon on the terrace and watch the gorgeous sunset over Lake Mendota:

A few blocks down from my hotel was a fantastic contemporary furniture store called, Rubin’s.

This place was HUGE!  A lot bigger than I pictured on the outside.  There were some really unique pieces of furniture scattered throughout the store.  The best part of the building were the floor to ceiling windows that looked out upon Lake Menona.  I included a photo gallery below of some of my favorite room settings, but check out Rubin’s Website to view the entire store’s selection.

If you are looking for an inexpensive getaway, I definitely recommend heading over the state border to check out all the great natural and culture features that Madison has to offer!  With only 3 days there, I only scraped the surface of what the town has to offer, but I look forward to going there again and seeing more.
